AI Use Policy
Where AI assistance is permitted in our workflow, what human review is mandatory, how sources are verified, and which uses are prohibited outright.
AI tools may assist with outlining, restructuring, summarising a document an editor has already read, code generation for this site, and consistency checks. They are not treated as evidence, and a model restating a specification does not verify it.
Required controls
AI-assisted material is reviewed by a responsible editor before publication. Every cited standard, datasheet, or test value is opened and checked against the primary document. Claims must stay within the scope the source actually supports. The content method and any material disclosure are recorded in the article’s frontmatter.
Prohibited uses
We do not publish generated pages whose purpose is ranking volume, restate other publications without added analysis, invent hands-on experience, fabricate quotations or test results, or attach structured data that the visible page does not support.
Disclosure
Guides carry a content-method label so readers can see how the material was prepared. A disclosure explains process; it does not excuse an inaccurate specification or an unsupported recommendation.
